PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT

Tess MacQueen, MS, PA-C

I  am a board certified Physician Assistant who graduated with my Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from The University of New England in 2012.

I worked in Cayuga Medical Center’s Emergency Department and Urgent Care centers for five years.  Working there I realized how important it is for patients to be heard and to know that their healthcare provider cares about them.  Next I worked in a dermatology clinic for three years. During that time I completed the SDPA Diplomate Fellowship Program which, along with countless patient encounters, provided me with a solid foundation in disorders of the skin.

I co-founded Pine Point Medical in 2020 with the intention of providing access to virtual healthcare regardless of location or type of insurance.  Patients can easily fit in an appointment with me without the need to take time off from work, worry about transportation, or find childcare.

PHYSICIAN

Douglas MacQueen, MD

I  am board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases by the American Board of Internal Medicine.  My career to this point has primarily been focused on diagnosing and treating infectious diseases in my position at Cayuga Medical Center.  I will continue in that work, and you can contact me at Cayuga Medical Associates for infectious diseases related issues.

At Pine Point Medical I diagnose and treat general medical issues in adults.  During the current COVID-19 pandemic, that will largely be by collaborating with Tess in our telemedicine practice.

During your telemedicine visit, we can also provide you with guidance on accessing the rest of the medical system during this unique phase in history.

Consider our practice if you can not get to an urgent care, do not have a primary care provider, or yours is unavailable.

NURSE PRACTITIONER

Melissa Pinckney, NP

I am a board certified nurse practitioner who graduated with my Master of Science degree in adult primary care from Keuka College in 2017. I currently see patients at Pine Point Medical in addition to working in hospital medicine at Cayuga Medical Center.

Before working as a nurse practitioner, I worked for nearly twenty years as an emergency medicine and ciritcal care registered nurse (RN).

My time working in the hospital has shown me how important annual wellness and preventive visits are. I am dedicated to helping patients create realistic treatment plans that work for them. I take time to get to know the whole person and value the relationships that are created between a patient and their primary care provider.
