Pine Point Medical Gives Back to the Community

Building Healthier Communities at Home and Abroad

At Pine Point Medical, community isn’t just where we live, it’s who we are. From school fundraisers to local parades, rural care, and global mission support, we believe in showing up. We invest in our neighbors, students, and families because strong communities make strong health outcomes. Here are some of the ways we give back and the moments that inspire us to keep serving.

Local Engagements & Initiatives

Lansing 5K for Cross Country Support

We lace up each year for the Lansing 5K to support the Lansing School cross country team. It’s good exercise for us, and even better knowing every step helps young runners thrive.

Cookies & Causes: Local Treats for Big Hearts

When we support a cause, we also bring something sweet. Every time we donate, like helping a local three-year-old fighting cancer, we buy cookies from Lansing favorite Case Sera Sera. It’s our way of supporting multiple small goals at once.

Wreath Sales and Fundraising for Global Missions

To help fund our international medical trips, we sell wreaths each winter. Proceeds go toward travel costs, supplies, and the logistical work required to bring our care abroad, including Peru and other mission destinations.

Partnering with Students from Ithaca College & Cornell

We believe in growing healthcare leaders. That’s why we host students from Ithaca College, Cornell University, and other schools in various majors. They gain real exposure to clinical practice and public health work under our team’s mentorship.

Women of Distinction Award: Leadership & Community Impact

Tess MacQueen earned the Women of Distinction Award from Assembly Member Kelles. The honor recognized her commitment and tenacity in starting the only primary care practice in the Lansing/Groton/Moravia area. She’s also the founder of a local Girl Scout Troop, helping young girls build community and confidence.

Dryden Dairy Parade

We joined the Dryden Dairy Parade, waving flags, greeting neighbors, and having fun together. It’s an event that brings joy, visibility, and connection to our local rural culture.

Mentorship that inspires the next generation

Supporting Local Schools and Future Healthcare Leaders

At Pine Point Medical, we are proud to support education close to home. From local schools in Lansing to higher education institutions like Cornell University and Ithaca College, we create opportunities for students to gain hands-on healthcare experience. By mentoring the next generation of providers, we help strengthen our community today while building a healthier future for tomorrow.
